I have arrived

My photo ‘Unity’ has made it onto page 2 of my local newspaper. I sent in the press release and photo, and they reproduced it nearly word-for-word, but it’s still cool to see my work in print (all be it very poor quality print that makes it look like the Turin Shroud). I recently did a photo shoot for a local singer/songwriter. The photos will be used for her debut album and possibly for publicity shots. More shots from the day are on my Flickr page (simply click on Laura to get there).

Artist at rest

From the Louvre Museum, taken in 1999. One of my favourite shots. I think it's great that they allow artists to come in and paint (unless they end up retouching the paintings on the walls).

I’ve entered this image into the BBC’s Photographer of the Year competition. It is for the theme ‘Look up’. I've decided to interpret the theme as ‘look on the bright side’.
